The Fragile gallery, on Via San Damiano in Milan, originated as a space dedicated to vintage items, but has been focusing more and more on contemporary art. It will be the Salone del Mobile’s window for special furniture design projects during the 2016 edition, featuring a wide-ranging group of designers, including masters such as Alessandro Mendini, who designed the interior, as well as a new generation of designers, including Pierfrancesco Cravel and Marzio Rusconi Clerici. The pieces exhibited are made of valuable materials, arranged in series of limited editions, and range from rugs and seating, to bathroom lighting, offering a complete repertoire of domestic pieces that offer art for everyday living.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
