The aquamarine sea makes Barcelona’s cocktail bar, the Blue Wave, particularly special. Port Vell is one of the most suggestive areas of the Catalonian city, located a short distance from the water. The El Equipo Creativo team was inspired by the surrounding waves, and recreated the same turquoise hues by using iridescent tiles inside the bar, illuminated by the light pouring in through the façade. The inside is shaped like a wave crashing on the shore. The handmade tiles cover the walls and floor, and were specifically created for the cocktail bar. They give it an air of magic and mystery. The inside space, with its bar area for sipping a drink, flows to the outside patio, perfect for lounging with company.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
