In the heart of caliente Barcelona resides a small piece of romantic Paris. Madeleine mon Amour, a delicate little restaurant that specializes in the French, shell-shaped pastries, has opened in the Poble Nou quarter. The madelienes go beyond the classic variations to encompass inventive flavours such as green tea with hazelnuts, raspberries, and coconut with a chocolate centre. They also have savoury versions, like prosciutto, cheese, olive, tuna and salmon. The imagination has no limits; the chef invents new additions every week! Parisian taste has been applied to the interior as well; Madeleine mon Amour was designed by Egue y Seta. The general aesthetics reference the Belle Epoque, but the architects also commented that they were inspired by lingerie stores’ feminine environments.
