Zaha Hadid created a series of extraordinary sofas and tables for diverse furniture companies, including Edra, Sawaya&Moroni, B&B, Established&Sons, as well as design museums, including London’s David Gill Gallery. Beyond the similarities shared by her products and architecture, and the expressive coherence that sets her work from varying sectors apart, Zaha’s design is defined by its fluidity. It is not the typical, streamlined American style, but that of the undulating sands of a desert landscape, almost as if her works bear the mark of her origins. Zaha’s design is fully expressive, both in its digital aesthetics that appear natural instead of artificial, and in its ability to interpret a material’s essence.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
