The manifestations of design, art and fashion are varied, as are languages, in prose as in poetry. Meager, bare-bones talks coexist with stately speeches. Rhetoric is an art destined to enchant listeners, wrapping them up in a spire of reasoning rich with adjectives and metaphors, and is the counterpoint to concise phrasing with clear substance, avoiding every kind of ornamentation. Imagery, the parallel to language, lends itself to illustrate creativity, that just as when spoken, can be flimsy, or on the contrary, filled with tricks used to create special effects. Special effects are used to surprise, and surprise is an emotive gasp derived from the viewing of something unusual. It could be a simple rainbow, an unexpected variation of light, or a genius creation that shows visionary imagination and special executive skill.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
