The deconsecrated church of San Paolo Converso on Corso Italia, dating back to the sixteenth century and boasting frescoes by the Campi brothers, is the new home to the CLS Associates studio. A four-floor iron structure has been built at the rear of the building without affecting the original structure and is dedicated to the different areas of design. The floors are connected by a long staircase, again in iron, which crosses the parallelepiped along its entire length. On the top floor, there are offices and the meeting room, a space suspended in the aisle and overlooking the altar. The resources library, the plastic models laboratory and the kitchen are located in the cross-vaulted crypt. Visiting to the studio becomes a mystical experience that invites one to unexpected reflections on the craft of design.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
